Self-represented litigants face considerable challenges in navigating the criminal legal system. This training empowers pro se defendants to understand their constitutional right to exculpatory and impeachment evidence and how to formally request it under established legal doctrines.

This course covers:

  • The meaning and application of Brady and Giglio in plain language
  • How to identify and request favorable evidence
  • Preparing discovery motions and objections without an attorney
  • Holding the prosecution accountable for nondisclosure
  • Using court forms and procedures to protect due process

While this training does not substitute for legal representation, it provides pro se defendants with the tools necessary to assert core constitutional protections, improve their standing before the court, and potentially seek relief for violations. A certificate of completion is issued to document familiarity with disclosure rights and obligations.
